Mixed Bed Resin for High Purity Demineralizer Water Applications
Amberlite MB 20 resin is a mixed bed resin with a balanced ion composition. This resin has been regenerated and ready for use. This resin is a mixture of strong acid cation resin with strong base anion resin.
Amberlite MB 20 resin is used to produce high purity demin water free of silica and carbon dioxide.
Mixed bed operating capacity can be calculated using the following formula, which gives an estimate of the volume of water that can be treated.
BV = 500 / TDS (meq / l) or
Gals = 187,500 / TDS (as CaCO3)
Where BV (bed volume) is the number of liters of feed water containing dissolved solids (TDS) in meq / L (or gals per ft3 with TDS as CaCO3), which can be demineralized with one liter of resin mixture when run to saturation. . All components must be separated by backwashing and regenerated separately,
