Seawater or salt water is a solution containing several types of solutes such as salt, which amounts to 3% to 5%, while brackish water has a salt content of 0.05% to 3%.
With a seawater desalination machine, the fresh water is separated from the salt water. Because desalination is a separation process that is used to reduce the dissolved salt content of salt water or sea water and brackish water to a certain level so that water can be used as clean water or drinking water.
The desalination process involves three liquid flows, namely feed in the form of salt water (sea water) or brackish water, low salinity products and high salinity concentrates.

Through a seawater type reverse osmosis membrane it is achieved by applying very high pressure to seawater to counter the osmotic flow.
By doing so, seawater is forced in through being translucent, which then removes all dissolved solids and produces drinking water. This method can remove at least 98% of salt ions and pollutants from seawater. The resulting fresh water flows out of the Reverse Osmosis Membrane where it is up to 992% free of salts, minerals, and other ions.
