Active lime CaO obtained from the calcination of CaCO3 at temperatures of 900 C - 1300 C in a kiln, following reaction: CaCO3 ------> cao + co2.
The resulting active lime cao had levels above 90% when the condition is still chunks. But once milled, then the level cao down up to above 80%.
