DiST's are robust and reliable pocket-sized testers that offer fast and accurate conductivity or TDS readings.
DiST® testers are widely used to monitor EC / TDS in drinking water, water cooling, reverse osmosis, cooling towers, wastewater, laboratories, agriculture, aquaculture and aquariums, hydroponics and the printing industry.
This tester has an amperometric graphite electrode that provides a better repetition of measurements because it does not oxidize. The EC amperometric measurement is based on Ohm's Law, I = V / R where R depends on the distance between the two pins and its surface. Oxidation changes the distance and surface that will affect its accuracy. Distilled graphite non-oxidizing pin is capable of providing an optimum surface for accurate and reliable results.
When calibration is required, simply stack the tip of the electrode into the calibration solution and set the trimmer on the side of the tester.
