Dosing Pump
The dosing pump is a small and positive displacement pump. This is designed to pump the flow of chemicals or substances that are very precise into the flow of water, steam or gas. The dosing pump will produce this chemical flow rate or other precision products with a number of different methods, but generally involves withdrawing the measured amount into the chamber and then injecting this amount of chemical into a dosed pipe or tank. Dosing pumps are used in various applications, from agriculture, industry, manufacturing to medicine.
Dosing pumps are generally quite small and powered by a small electric motor or air drive. They are controlled either by an external control system or more generally an internal pump controller that can change flow rates, on / off functions and also things like alarms and warnings for dry, degassing and low product levels.
